Since the pandemic has started, all researchers around the globe continuously trying to find a solution to the problem. Maybe within a short period of time, they would be able to identify the cure of covid. But what’s next ?. Imaginably, if in the future, some other adverse pandemic has hit our planet, then mankind would again suffer adversely. Therefore, we need a permanent “Hero” who would save us from every harmful microbe.

Thus, a question raises in our minds that who is and would be our superhero against infectious diseases. In my perspective, it's none other than our own “Immune System”.

  1. Why Immunity is a real hero -: The immune system is a convoluted network of cells, proteins, organs, and biological processes that protect the body of organisms against harmful infections. Its functioning is just like the climax of a superhero movie!. As soon as a foreign microbe ( a villain) enters the body, our immune system( superhero) generates proteins called antibodies, which kill these germs and keeps a record of them in form of white blood cells or memory cells ( a robotic brain of superhero). Subsequently, if that particular germ re-enters the body, then our superhero (the immune system) recognize it and destroy it quickly before it spreads and makes us sick. That’s why I treat immunity as a real hero.

2) How to make our superhero powerful -: There are two ways by which we can boost up our immunity-:

i) Artificial Method -: In this 21st century, artificially designed vaccines are used as immunity boosters. Here, the important question is how these vaccines help our superhero ( immune system) to fight against the villain (germs). The working of a vaccine is very fascinating !. These vaccines are more like a training exercise for our superhero, which teaches him how to fight against a particular devil in the future. Vaccines are made from the part of microbes that instigates the disease, but luckily those microbes are either killed or weakened. When these germs introduced into the body through injections, the immune system generates antibodies just to kill those germs as they would the real disease microbes. Therefore, if in the future, even after many years, the body ever exposed to the actual disease, then those antibodies are there to protect living organisms.

ii) Natural Method -: Another way to increase the powers of our real hero is to go naturally. This process is slow but indeed the best. Most people have this perspective that eating nutritious food helps them to increase their immunity but this is not the case always. Eating the right amount of healthy food at right time is a key to a robust immune system. For example, eating a bowl of green vegetables and fruits at 1:00 am in the morning is not healthy, even if the food contains plenty of nutrients in it. It's vital to follow a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet, yoga or physical exercises, and meditation (it is a good mental exercise).

Conclusion -: In my opinion, the Natural process > Artificial process. Today in this busy world, people are taking care of every materialistic thing which includes their bank balance, living status, fashion etcetera, but they forget to take care of the health of their bodies. It is important to live for ourselves, not for society. In this modern era, humans are moving towards an artificial world, even to increase their immunity they need an artificial source. Yes, by the artificial process they can boost up their immunity but every fabricated thing comes along with some side-effects. However, every natural thing needs time and hard work but the fruit of patience is always sweet and healthy.
